In this present world of tablets, Ipads, laptops, etc., there were still about
1000 children that still used wooden slates in Makoko. They would come to school with their personal wooden tablet and write with chalk daily. When they were bored, they would grind the chalk into powder and make their faces up. The Makoko Dream reached out to 100 of them to provide writing tablets. What is normal for some is a luxury for so many others.
