As a Follow up on the work The Makoko Dream Girls did during the #MapMakoko exercise as carried out by Our partner, Code for Africa, a South African Organization, who trained Makoko Dream girls on effective mapping of the community, BBC Radio paid a courtesy visit to the community to interview some of the persons who were part of the event.
Abigail, Far left in the First picture, was interviewed on Life in Makoko.
The BBC Radio representatives also interviewed, Mr Aide Benjamin, PA to the Founder, TMD on what it was like to have been part of history in putting Makoko on the map(Final plans are in top gear to showcase progress made since the exercise began). Others represented were, Aide Joshua Elijah, and Tinuola Kisiegbeji(The Famous ‘School bus’ driver of TMD and Asst. Head Girl of the school). They were more thrilled with the work we were doing and rode in our Ultra modern Canoe ‘School buses’ to and from various points of interest.
We are excited about the new developments and can’t wait to show you the final work and progresses made. It promises to be Wow!
